Job Description

Weichert Insurance Agency is hiring an Invoicing Team Leader at its Morris Plains, NJ location. The Invoicing Team leader will manage the WIA Invoicing Team, overseeing the processing of agency invoice preparation and reporting from the EPIC Management System.  This position is responsible for ensuring that invoices are entered accurately and in a timely manner to ensure proper agency revenue recognition and commission payments to Insurance Advisors (IA's).  The team leader will also be responsible for auditing and resolving errors to confirm that business is being re-written properly to assist in improving policy retention.   This professional also performs the day-to-day system maintenance and management of the EPIC system and other agency application tools, while serving as the primary point of contact with Weichert Co's IT Department. 

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Manage invoicing team and monitor audit results
  • Manage the download process including set-up of new carriers for download
  • Manage Epic day-to-day functions including user setup, routine reports and user issues
  • Maintain and upgrade Agency Systems to ensure that the Company is utilizing the latest version releases and optimizing utilities to maximize colleague productivity and efficiency
  • Modify and streamline workflows and tools to maximize colleague productivity
  • Serve as liaison with Weichert IT for all WIA systems
  • Collaborate with Sales Managers, Insurance Advisors and Sales and System Analyst on best practices and strategic initiatives
  • Work with Training Manager to maintain EPIC user manuals
  • Assist Management Team with report revisions and generation
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:

  •  Valid driver's license
  • Epic or other agency management system experience required
  •  Insurance License and insurance industry knowledge preferred
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of experience working for an independent insurance agency (ies), with a strong background in agency management systems
  •  Strong system administration skills, specifically with Epic or similar agency management systems
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Ability to coach and train in large and small group settings
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products; Visio is a plus
  • Ability to manage and build strong relationships
  • Creative thinker, self-motivated, and results-oriented
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
